Green Commitment Statement

At the Green Film Forum, we strongly believe in the power of film to inspire change and mobilise communities towards a more sustainable future.
We recognise the urgency of addressing the climate crisis and the responsibility we all share to protect our planet. That is why we are committed to promoting sustainable practices at all stages of film production.
Our commitments include:
→ Sustainable Production

We will encourage the use of technologies and practices that minimise the environmental impact of film productions, from pre-production to post-production. This includes the use of renewable energy, waste reduction and the promotion of greener transport.

→ Education and Awareness

We will organise workshops, seminars and panel discussions to educate industry professionals on the importance of sustainability. We will also strive to raise public awareness through our productions and events.

→ Community Collaboration

We will work in partnership with environmental organisations, local communities and other industry stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions that benefit both the environment and society.

→ Local Sourcing

We are committed to prioritizing the procurement of local supplies for all our production, management and catering needs. By choosing local suppliers, we will significantly reduce the carbon footprint associated with the transportation of goods and materials. This approach not only lessens our environmental impact, but also strengthens local economies and fosters community sustainability. Specifically:

  • Production. We will use locally produced materials wherever possible, from equipment to decorations, supporting local manufacturers and artisans.
  • Management. We will implement sustainable purchasing policies for the management of our offices and events, choosing products and services offered by local suppliers.
  • Catering. For catering at our productions and events, we will select food and beverages from local producers, prioritising organic and fair trade options, which will promote a more responsible and sustainable supply chain.
The Green Film Forum is more than an event; it is an opportunity to position the Balearic Islands as a reference in ecological filming and to attract international productions committed to sustainability.
